Call for nominations. GMCC 2010 Marketing Visionary Awards. DOWNLOAD THE NOMMINATION FORM Here!

MIAMI , FL , February, 02 2010 – The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce announces its first Marketing Visionary Awards to recognize advertising, marketing and public relations professionals for their outstanding work in the South Florida market.

The chamber’s Marketing Committee is soliciting nominations. Marketer of the Year Awards will go to small and large businesses in each of the following categories: marketing a service, product and nonprofit. In addition, the chamber will hand out the Creative Leader of the Year Award and Advertising Director of the Year Award in the advertising category and the Public Relations Executive of the Year Award.

Nominations are due Feb. 12 and are open to chamber members and nonmembers. There’s no cost and applications are available at www.miamichamber.com.

“In tough times and with budgets stretched to the limits, South Florida marketers have had to be more creative and resourceful than ever for their clients and businesses,” said Lexi Segré, vice chair of the chamber’s marketing committee and chair of the Marketing Visionary Awards. “That creativity and success deserves recognition.”

Individuals can nominate themselves or another person. An expert panel will review answers to questions on the nomination applications in judging the awards.

The awards program and cocktail reception will be April 28, 2010, at the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts located at 174 E. Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33131. The new age of Marketing and Brand Transformation



Miami, Nov. 6, 2009.-
The Series of Events Task force and the Marketing Committee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, co-chaired by Bob Oliva, from the Godoy Oliva Group and Maria Eugenia Pardo from Silva+Pardo Advertising respectively, presented today "The New Age of Marketing and Brand Transformation" @ the Dewar's 12 Lounge. American Airlines Arena.

With a great panel presented by Raul Lopez, Interactive General Manager of the Miami Herald Media Company, the 120+ marketers of the South Florida business Community learned how to
efficiently use the different portals of media through the World Wide Web with:

She also recognized the Miami Heats for providing the exceptional venue, the Chamber's staff leaded by Barry Johnson, CEO, Diana Pubchara, Crystal Renta and Deena D Leon from the GMCC Marketing Department and the Marketing Committee Members.

Ms. Pardo distinguished with the 2009 Latinbiz Woman of Virtue Awards

October 29, 2009 – Latin Business Club of America, South Florida’s largest professional networking organization, dedicated to support and promote businesses within the Latin community and foster understanding between Latinos and other Americans, presented today the recipients of the “Latinbiz Women of Virtue Awards 2009”. Maria Eugenia Pardo, Chief Creative Officer of Silva+Pardo Advertising is one of the women honored.

The Latinbiz Women of Virtue Awards honor outstanding professional women in our community who through their virtue and their work bring about social and economic change, support of other women, serve as exceptional role models, and demonstrate extraordinary performance within their professions to further advance women in their fields.

Maria Eugenia Pardo is Chief Creative Officer of Silva+Pardo Advertising a results-driven multi-platform communications agency focused in generating, building and consolidating successful and profitable brands all over Latin America.

Maria Eugenia, born in Caracas, Venezuela is an international journalist and an Advertising and PR Specialist graduated from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas. Maru is also a certified e-Marketer from the E-marketing Association and a proud member of the Public Relations Society of America, International Federation of Journalists, NAWBO, Mujeres Latinas impulsando a Mujeres Latinas and the Venezuelan Business Club. Currently she chairs the Marketing Committee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, is the writter / owner of the awarded blog: “Se Habla Venezolano, el blog de *Maru” and Executive Director of Se Habla Venezolano Foundation. Miami, FL. Oct 21, 2009. For the second year, Silva+Pardo Advertising's CCO, Maria Eugenia Pardo was appointed as "Principal for a Day" by the Miami Dade School Board.

Principal for a Day (PFAD) allows businesses and organizations the opportunity to visit a school and shadow the principal to increase public awareness of the accomplishments and challenges at the Miami Dade County.

The goal of Principal for a Day is that all PFADs will continue to engage themselves, their companies, organizations or associations in continued involvement and support throughout the year at their school.

"This year I was honored to be PFAD in the Rolando Espinoza K-8 Center at the City of Doral with our Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez. It was an AWESOME experience. I loved the school, the Kids and the staff. Ms Vangate is a wonderful Principal ".
